About Ramsey Civil Engineering

David Ramsey is a California-licensed Professional Engineer with 25 years of experience delivering civil engineering and design consulting services across Northern California. He founded Ramsey Civil Engineering, Inc. in 2018 with a commitment to providing exceptional quality, value, and personalized service to every client.

Mr. Ramsey was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California. He attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where he earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering. David spent his formative years as an E.I.T. in Connecticut at Godfrey-Hoffman Associates and in 2008 he moved back to his hometown of Santa Cruz to start a family and began working at Ifland Engineers. Soon after the transition to Ifland, he became a Professional Engineer and began forging relationships with clients, contractors, and local agency staff. After 12 great years at Ifland Engineers, David enthusiastically started his own civil engineering firm. He is now responsible for the daily operation of RamCE, contract negotiations, and estimating. He evaluates and approves all projects for the firm and performs customer relations management. He is involved with each project from inception through to completion, including design, budgeting, cost controls, billing, and final client approval. David is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Mr. Ramsey resides in Santa Cruz with his wife Dana and three children, Grace, Beckett and Caleb.
